Choosing the perfect music video was quite the task. It was quite crucial for us to choose a song that could perfectly reflect what we wanted to convey or what we stand for. So, we gave thought to a list of ideas and concepts we had. We had to make sure that the song we chose it had a music video in order to show an in-depth comparison and analysis. We shortlisted a few songs like
• Happier- Marshmello ft Bastille
• bad guy- Billie Eilish
• Bad liar- Selena Gomez
• Boys- Charli XCX

After much discussion, we came to a final decision and proceeded to choose Boys by Charli XCX because we felt like the whole tropical and upbeat mood created by the song will be more appealing to the consumer.
Why Boys by Charli XCX?

Boys, the track released as single by Charli XCX in 2017 is a pop song and has had various nominations for its music video, one of them including NME award for Best Music Video and NME Award for Best Track. The music video for the song includes several Hollywood and international male stars just being themselves. They appear with various props and they are generally shown to be having fun. The whole song follows a gratification theory where the audience feels warm and happy when they look at the attractive men smile and be themselves.
What is our take on it?

We plan to show something similar. A montage like video consisting of the men in our lives. The ones we interact with everyday and the men we love. Our fathers, our brothers, our friends and our teachers. They may not be extraordinarily attractive like the Hollywood stars, but they are all beautiful. And we strive to show the world who they are, and their beauty that makes our lives worth living. We also want to tackle issues like the idea of masculinity as being an Indian man or in general being a man means to be physically strong and powerful, but we want to show and promote the music video with men who don’t generally fit in that bracket.
We want to show what makes men attractive and beautiful by choosing the men in our lives and making them do things that they do every day. Our music video will be a montage featuring about 25-30 boys that we know and just them being themselves.
