Since our music video style caters to the female audience, our represtation of the Ideal Man is through the eyes of a female.
The Female Gaze
So many of the films and music videos today focus on bodies—often male bodies. Even the original music video of Boys by Charli XCX features male bodies in a particularly sensual way. The theory of female gaze counters the Laura Mulvey Male Gaze theory, where the women is the one who views the man through a camera lens in a way that pleases HER eye.

A female gaze, simply enough, would be a gender-swapped definition of that, but the distinction lies in who is in the power position. The male gaze puts men in the dominant role they’ve controlled since time immemorial. Women are presented as property for male consumption. To possess a female gaze gives the power to the marginalized. Essayists have debated whether a female gaze can or does exist and what it means in furthering positive depictions of female sexuality.
This music video show the female idea of an ideal boyfriend and what the woman expects from a relationship. The internet has set up expectations of luxurious dates for a man to keep for his significant other and value of expectations from the woman to the man.
The idea of modern romance
For most of history, in most cultures, there have been clear social rituals. If someone was interested in another someone romantically, there were clear steps to take and people knew what they meant. Past times have even had clearer rules about what people who are courting or dating or trying to get to know one another better should do.
Today, its all about what one puts on the internet. Today you can find thousands of hastags on couple goals and what a relationship must look like. Luxurious home dates, expensive flowers, jewellery and over the top social media posts of their significant other is what mordern datring accounts to. A man, or even a woman in a relationship is to keep up with these ‘rituals’ to keep the bond going. IN our video we have showcased such an idea of home dates that women expect men to keep to simply make them feel good and important.

The Ideal Boyfriend
The truth is that there is no such thing as perfect. But when it comes to what women want, they have their own ideas of perfect boyfriends that they wish to have. Most of the ideas have been formed due to the representation of men and boyfriends in films and pop culture.
The idea of a perfect boyfriend comes from grand romantic gestures. An example of this can be Heath Ledger from the movie 10 Things I Hate About You where he puts up an entire parade to woo the protagonist.
Click Flicks over time have raised the standard of what women expect from men and pop culture and social media have played a huge role in the same.
